§ 13-16. Insurance.

  • The following applicants for a license are required to present the city with a certificate showing insurance coverage prior to the issuance of a license:

    (1)

    Contractors: Certificate showing insured for general tort liability in the amount of not less than fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00) to any one (1) person, one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000.00) for any one (1) accident and twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000.00) property damage. Any cancellations of insurance shall automatically act as a revocation of such occupational license.

    (2)

    Photographers, resident, itinerant or transient: All intrastate photographers, or each agent or canvasser or solicitor, representing an itinerant intrastate photographer soliciting business in the City of Cocoa Beach, shall, before soliciting any photography business from people, file with the city clerk a surety bond in the sum of one thousand dollars ($1,000,00).

    (3)

    Wrecker or tow service: Certificate showing general tort liability insurance in the amount of twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000.00)/fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00) personal liability, and ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00) property damage.

    (4)

    Taxicab: Certificate showing insurance coverage for general tort liability in an amount of not less than one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000.00) to any one (1) person, three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000.00) for any one (1) accident and twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000.00) property damage, prior to the issuance of a license.
