§ 14-15. Portable toilets; number required; locations; servicing.

  • (a)

    The number and location of portable toilets located on-site and on public property within fifteen hundred (1,500) feet of the property, on which the special event is conducted, shall be determined in the planning meeting and shall be approved by the city.

    (b)

    The formula for determining the number of portable toilets shall be eight (8) toilets per two thousand five hundred (2,500) persons attending the event, per day. All portable toilets shall be serviced a minimum of one (1) time service per day for each day of the event. For every additional five hundred (500) persons over two thousand five hundred (2,500) per day attending the event, two (2) additional toilets shall be required. Any units located on public property shall be removed no later than the first day, following the last day, of the event.

    (c)

    If structures on the event site have toilet facilities easily identified and readily available to the public, and there is no charge to the public to have access or to utilize them, they may be used in the formula to determine the number of units needed.
