§ 15-11. Curfew as to minors—Exceptions; liability of parent.

  • It shall be unlawful for any child under the age of seventeen (17) years to be in or on any public place in the city between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.; provided however, that a child under the age of seventeen (17) years may be in or on any public place within the city between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. pursuant to the scope of lawful employment, with the consent of his or her parent or guardian, if such child is going upon some errand of necessity for his or her parent or guardian, by direction of such parent or guardian; and, provided further, that a child under the age of seventeen (17) years may be in or on any public place in the city between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. if such child is in the company of his or here parent or guardian. It shall further be unlawful for any parent or guardian of any child under the age of seventeen (17) years to allow such child to be unlawfully in or on any public place within the city between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.
