§ 16-81. Participation in the pension plan.

(a)

Participation.

(1)

A person shall become a participant on the first day of service as a full-time employee. Each full-time employee of the city shall be a participant in the plan.

(2)

A person shall remain a participant until the earlier of:

a.

terminating service prior to earning a vested benefit and prior to reaching normal retirement age;

b.

all benefits have been paid to the participant; or

c.

the person dies.
