§ 22-26. Inspection procedures.

  • There will be inspections required and performed by the utilities department. Compaction testing shall be performed by a qualified testing laboratory before asphalt replacement and the expense of such testing borne by the permittee. Inspections and compaction tests are as follows:

    Sub-base materials

    (2)

    Sub-base compaction inspection

    (3)

    Base materials

    (4)

    Base material compaction test

    (5)

    Asphalt replacement

    (6)

    Final inspection

    Each inspection must be signed off by a city inspector.

    Compaction requirements are described in section 22-32, road sub-base and base replacement requirements.

    (9)

    All test reports shall be reviewed and meet the approval of the utilities department prior to asphalt replacement. The City of Cocoa Beach requires a final inspection. Inspections can be arranged within forty-eight (48) hours of a request by contacting the utilities department.
