§ 27-2. Draining well; restriction.

  • It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, or corporation to hereafter drain, or permit to be drained, any water from any well within the city onto any street, alley, or any other public thoroughfare while the well is being drilled or after the well is drilled when the water has passed through an air conditioning unit; provided, however, that this prohibition shall not preclude the incidental runoff of such water when it is utilized in a practicable justifiable and functional manner, such as the watering of a lawn.

    Any person who hereafter shall drill a well within the city shall have the permit hereinabove described in his possession at all times while work is being performed on the said well.
