§ 30-11. Creation of position of special magistrate.

The position of special magistrate is hereby created pursuant to F.S. Ch. 162 and in addition to the code enforcement board as provided by the City's Charter at section 4.05, for the intent and purpose set forth in this code. The special magistrate may hear code enforcement cases, as directed by the manager and requests for hearing pursuant to the City Code of Ordinances, Land Development Code and standard building codes. The special magistrate will include the officer(s) appointed by the city commission, including but not limited to any special magistrates pro tempore, with the power set forth in Section 30-10.
