§ 4-3. Peafowl.

  • It is hereby declared illegal and unlawful for any person to possess, harbor, feed, breed, maintain or keep any peafowl within the City of Cocoa Beach. For purposes of this chapter, peafowl shall mean either of two very large terrestrial pheasants (Pavo cristatus and P. muticus) of southeastern Asia and India that are often reared as ornamental fowls, and shall include both peacocks and peahens. In addition to penalties set forth in section 4-13 of this chapter, any violation of this section shall be considered a Class II violation pursuant to section 31-11, of this Code.
