§ 6-2. Wind borne debris region established.

The City of Cocoa Beach is located within a wind borne debris region as defined and identified in Section 1609 of the Florida Building Code 2010 or as amended, and the design winds speeds are:

(a)

Risk Category I buildings and structures: 130 mph, per Figure 1609C, of the Florida Building Code, 2010 or as amended;

(b)

Risk Category II buildings and structures: 140 mph, per Figure 1609A, of the Florida Building Code, 2010 or as amended; and,

(c)

Risk Category III and IV buildings and structures: 150 mph, per Figure 1609B, of the Florida Building Code, 2010 or as amended.
