§ 6-23. Application for permit; exhibits; procedure.

  • The permit required by section 6-21 shall be applied for by the owner or owners of the affected land by application in writing to the building inspector, which application shall contain drawings and exhibits, showing the nature of and location of any such proposed excavation or extraction, the depth or depths to which the work shall progress, the width and length of any areas from which material is to be removed, and the relation of the same to and approximate distances from property lines and structures, said drawings and exhibits to contain such other information as the building inspector may require. In any case where the building inspector is satisfied that there will be no adverse effect on health, safety, morals or the public welfare, he may issue an excavation permit identifying the project by reference to the drawing and exhibits. Said permit shall be effective for one (1) year.
