§ 16-18. Firemen's relief and pension trust fund—Tax on insurance premiums.

There is hereby assessed, imposed and levied on every insurance company, corporation or their insurer now engaging in the carrying on, or which will hereafter engage in or carry on the business of insuring against loss of damage by fire or windstorm, as shown by the records of the insurance commissioner of the State of Florida, an excise or license tax in addition to any license tax or excise tax now levied by the City of Cocoa Beach, Florida, which said tax shall be in the amount of one and eighty-five hundredths per cent (1.85) of the gross amount of receipts of premiums from policy holders on all premiums collected on fire and windstorm insurance policies covering property within the corporate limits of the City of Cocoa Beach, Florida.
