§ 6-24. Referral of application to commission.

  • If for any reason, satisfactory to the building inspector, he considers it advisable to refer the application to the city commission for approval, he may do so; and if any permit be refused on application to the building inspector, the owner may apply directly to the city commission submitting the written application and exhibits requested by the building inspector and any other evidence of the right to secure such permit. Any referral by the building inspector or any application refused which the owner desires to submit to the commission shall be placed on the agenda for the next regular or special meeting of the commission. If the permit be granted, the building inspector shall issue the same and the procedure shall conform thereafter substantially to section 6-23.
